We operate on an integrated global basis to source, store, trade, process and distribute grains and oilseeds including wheat, corn, oilseeds, barley and sorghum, as well as vegetable oils and meals. We have a broad global presence in grain origination, shipping and processing and we have developed significant expertise in handling identity preserved and differentiated products.

Our supply chain efficiency combined with origin and logistical flexibility enables us to deliver significant value to our customers around the world. We also work closely with Cargill's finance and risk management businesses to offer a range of financial and hedging products.

Hydroponics


It is a type of horticulture and a subset of hydroculture which involves growing plants (usually crops) without soil, by using mineral nutrient solutions in an aqueous solvent. Terrestrial or aquatic plants may grow with their roots exposed to the nutritious liquid, or, in addition, the roots may be physically supported by an inert medium such as perlite, gravel, or other substrates.
The nutrients used in hydroponic systems can come from many different sources, including fish excrement, duck manure, purchased chemical fertilizers, or artificial nutrient solutions.
Plants commonly grown hydroponically, on inert media, include tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, strawberries, lettuces, cannabis, and Arabidopsis thaliana, which serves as model organism in plant science.
Hydroponics offers many advantages, notably a decrease in water usage in agriculture.
